Follow Builders Lite

Use this skill to prepare concise AI builders digests from the public feed files generated by zarazhangrui/follow-builders.

This skill is intentionally read-only and lightweight:

• Do not request X/Twitter, YouTube, podcast, Telegram, email, or delivery API keys.
• Do not scrape X, YouTube, podcast hosts, or blog websites locally.
• Do not install cron jobs or configure push delivery.
• Do not modify the upstream repository.
• Depend on the upstream GitHub Actions output only: feed-x.json, feed-podcasts.json, and feed-blogs.json.

Quick Start

Run the bundled script to fetch and compact the upstream feeds:

python3 scripts/prepare_digest.py --language zh

Use the resulting JSON as the only source material for the digest. If the script reports feed errors, mention them briefly only when they affect coverage.

Workflow

1. Run scripts/prepare_digest.py from this skill directory.
2. Read the JSON from stdout.
3. Write a digest in the requested language.
4. Include links from the feed.
5. Separate sections by content type when present:
   • X / builders
   • Podcasts
   • Official blogs
6. Omit empty sections.

Digest Style

Prefer signal over completeness.

• Start with 3-5 bullets of the most important takeaways.
• Group related X posts when they point to the same theme.
• For podcasts, summarize the practical ideas, not the whole transcript.
• For blogs, extract what changed, why it matters, and who should care.
• Keep hype low and mark uncertainty plainly.
• Do not invent facts beyond the feed content.

Language

• en: write in English.
• zh: write in concise Simplified Chinese.
• bilingual: keep headings bilingual and include compact English source phrasing only where useful.

Script Options

Use these only when needed:

python3 scripts/prepare_digest.py --language zh --max-field-chars 6000
python3 scripts/prepare_digest.py --local-dir /path/to/follow-builders

• --language: en, zh, or bilingual; defaults to en.
• --max-field-chars: maximum characters kept for long transcript/blog fields.
• --local-dir: read feed-*.json from a local clone for testing instead of GitHub raw.

Safety Boundary

If a user asks to change sources or fetching logic, explain that the source list and collection jobs live upstream in zarazhangrui/follow-builders. This skill can consume those feeds or a local test clone, but it should not add local credentials, scraping, delivery, or scheduling.
